Typical Alaska

We stayed here June 25-July 1, 2007. We exchanged through a timeshare. The hotel is in a beautiful setting not to be missed. Many a hotel could only wish for this setting. The rooms are currently being remodled. Ours had already been done on the 6th floor. Although it's clean and a nice setting it is an average stay. The view and wildlife is the attraction here. The staff was courteous and helpful however many appeared so young that perhaps it was their summer job on school break. It did not appear that anyone was ever really in charge of the place. Conference Destination

We stayed four nights for a conference at this resort, which is a study in contradictions. It has a beautiful location, the grounds, the gardens, ponds, and surrounding trails are truly lovely. Unfortunately the staff do not reflect this atmosphere, most could have been wearing t shirts that read "I'd rather be fishing, skiing, anywhere but here. . ." BUT the tram operators were both ... Nice Hotel...small rooms but great views

Average, not spectacular
