An echo of time
We loved it for our honeymoon, the Alaskan Hotel was quite the experience. It is a mom-and-pop operation that is being run on a grassroots level, so visitors have to forgive the quaint, Victorian feeling.. all part of its restoration. coolest spot in juneau
A hotel with a bar. Sounds simple, but at the Alaskan, it's an EXPERIENCE, a HAPPENING, a WAY OF LIVING. The rooms usually have a sink, stove, and refrigerator, plus an antique-style phone (free local calls). The shared bath rooms are a deal for $67 in Juneau. Annoying Room Service
Using a scale of 10, I would rate the ALASKAN HOTEL & BAR a .001 I was in Juneau for two weeks, and made a reservation for the Alaskan weeks prior to my arrival. The Alaskan was interesting
We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a youg kid tHAT was not too helpfull, He acted like he was doing us a favor. We checked in and hoped the room would be as described.
