Repeat customer!
We've stayed twice, in 2001 and 2004. The service and accomodations improved after the remodel. Our last room was huge, and spotless. Nice view of Douglas from our 3rd floor non-smoking room. The on-premises restaurant is decent, and is popular.

A good alternative to the Gold Belt
I've stayed at the Prospector twice in the past 14 years, once ten years ago and once in 2005. The first stay was not pleasant as the place was old and run down and dirty. OK place in Juneau.

Juneau is a little town and strikes me as not having many choices of great hotels. The Prospector is okay. Location is right next to Juneau's excellent museum, but quite a walk to the old center of town. Our room was attractively decorated and up to date.
