It was great

I thought that the Inn at Whittier was quite nice and had a lot of charm. Outside there is construction going on and that is a bit of an eyesore but the view on the other side of the hotel is amazing. Disappointing

Cute building from the outside. Property and surrounding area junky w/inadequate parking. Common areas nicely decorated. Rooms are small. Cannot control heat in your room so tended to be very hot/stuffy. Train noise can be a problem all night. Problems with no hot water or inadequate/delayed hot ... AKMar, a user of Tripadvisor. Awful service

The hotel is nicely situated and an interesting building, but it is completely let down by the awful service. The food in the restaurant was adequate, but the main course arrived before the starter and the drinks only appeared after the third time of asking. The waitress was completely out of her... We made reservations over a month in advance. Our charter boat blew an engine 4 days before we arrive. I called the Inn and informed them of what happen. a girl stated my deposit would be given back.
