Fell short of expectations

First of all on check in my room wasn't paid for even though I gave hotels.com all my credit card info. so that was a hinderance, we reserved a smoking room and got a non-smoking one, the first night two people had a three hour conversation on the corner ... a traveler, a user of hotels.com.
