Nice but Staff is Rude

Stayed here for my honemoon for 2 nights. Hotel was nice had a bit of character. The front desk staff was rude and snotty. That may be harsh but it's the truth. We asked for a room upgrade considering it was out honeymoon and the lady replied, we're fully booked. Really... is that why the corrido... kkc1976, a user of Tripadvisor. Gorgeous location, but overvalued

The Sacher is in a fantastic location right in the city centre facing the river, old town and the fortress - the view is spectacular. It is also close to the train station, but if you have heavy luggage, I'd recommend the 10min cab ride. The service was immaculate (but slightly stuffy) from the o... Thank you to all at Hotel Sacher!!! Not only did the Bartender recommend 2 of the best restaurants on our 2 week trip... both just outside of the main town... but the front desk staff arranged a private tour of the Sound of Music sights for us. Wonderful views, staff, food, everything!

I have been to Salzburg a few times and have found it to be a magical place everytime. This was the first time I had stayed at the Sacher and the hotel is beautiful.
