Are you a twitter or facebook virgin? Now you can learn how to get started with social media while you’re on vacation in Puerto Vallarta. The Casa Velas Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is offering free social media workshops to its guests.

Pierre Bonin, Managing Director of Casa Velas, says “We’re delighted to be probably the first resort in Mexico to offer this, and at no charge.”

The workshops, held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 to 7 pm, will help guests create a profile, add friends, upload photos and ‘Like’ pages in Facebook; create a Twitter account and profile, follow and tweet updates; and show you how to create and upload videos on YouTube.

Casa Velas is located on the Marina Vallarta Golf Club in Marina Vallarta, five minutes from Puerto Vallarta Airport. The hotel offers 80 suites, some with private pools and jacuzzis.

All the guest rooms offer wireless internet, a fully-stocked mini bar, laptop safe, coffee maker, marble bathrooms, vanity mirrors, and balconies with tropical views.

The Spa Casa Velas has five treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy area and a fitness gym. The Emiliano restaurant serves Mexican and international cuisine, with live music. There’s also an ocean-front Beach Club and two bars.
