Will & Kate’s $10,800 Hotel Suite in Los Angeles

If you haven’t been living under a cave the last six months or so, you probably know that Prince William got married to Kate Middleton, and they’re now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

What you may or may not know, though, is that the royal couple will be spending July 8-10, 2011 in California on a post-honeymoon vacation. To be specific, at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.

To be even more specific, they’ll be staying in the hotel’s 1932 square foot Presidential Suite.  Here’s what the hotel has to say about this opulent suite:

“classic wood furnishings and is bathed in soft tones of peach, mauve, sage, yellow, and beige. The suite has one king-size bed, full vanity and dressing area, gas fireplace, a spacious living room with dining area, den, and 1½ marble bathrooms with bidet, jacuzzi tub, and two stall showers. There is a full kitchen and access to a restaurant-size banquet kitchen across the hall, a grand piano, private balcony, and a top-floor view towards downtown Los Angeles. Approximately 1932 square feet.”

One more tiny detail the hotel left out – the suite is going to set the royal couple back $10,800 per night.

After all, The Pink Palace, as it is known, is an iconic luxury five-star hotel on Sunset Boulevard. The building is set within 12 acres of lush gardens and private walkways.

Spend the Day at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island

Indoor Pool at Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island

Your reservation may be based on the number of nights you spend at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, but your stay should be marked by the way in which you spend your days. With exclusive spa treatments, a robust recreation department, and dining options to suit any occasion, there’s no shortage of vacation-worthy things to do at this beach-side resort.

My family of four recently spent about 12 hours at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, and not a single one of them was spent sleeping or in a guest room. We had such a great time that my six year old later wrote in her travel journal that she “loves the Ritz!” What can one do at this luxury hotel outside of the room?

More Rosewood Deal at Rosewood Mayakobá, Riviera Maya, Mexico

An Ocean View suite's rooftop terrace

There are some hotels that beckon with an allure that makes you rack your brain for any occasion to visit. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, lucky day, or merely the need to get away and relax somewhere beautiful—you should do it in Mexico’s Riviera Maya at the Rosewood Mayakobá.

With the More Rosewood deal, you’ll get a third night free when you stay two nights, which makes for a nice long weekend or the start of a longer vacation. It’s possible that your hardest choice will be deciding among the luxurious room categories for your reservation: Beachside Lagoon View, Ocean View, Beachfront, or Deluxe Ocean View suites. The deal is available for travel through Oct. 31, 2011 and applicable to new bookings only, subject to availability. A three-night minimum stay is required.

Lounge in the pool without feeling guilty

It may be tempting to stay in your room at the Rosewood Mayakobá, but make sure you venture out and get a dose of what else the hotel has to offer. Hedonists can stroll along the mile-long beach and a handful of swimming pools, or head straight to the spa, Sense. Adventurers and sports enthusiasts can choose between a round of golf, snorkeling or diving along the world’s second-largest barrier reef, day trips to Mayan ruins, horseback riding, or deep-sea fishing.

No matter what you do during the day, adventurers and loungers can meet again in the evening to enjoy a tequila tasting at the Agave Azul Raw Bar and Tequila Library before a leisurely dinner at Casa del Lago.

For additional information or to book the deal, visit the hotel’s website or call (888) 767-3966 (ROSEWOOD) and use booking code MORE3.
