The Hudson Hotel in Edinburgh, Scotland
Oh, to be young and carefree in Edinburgh, Scotland!
The Hudson Hotel is a small, 30-room property in downtown Edinburgh. It’s a stone’s throw from most of the city’s big attractions including Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace. It’s also within walking distance of Princes Street and its famous city shopping.
There are plenty of small hotels in Edinburgh. But what you’ll find at the Hudson is a good deal. No, scratch that – a great deal. The rooms are small, clean and very serviceable. This is not a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination – but it is incredible value for the money.
It’s also for the young – or at least the young at heart.
The hotel is housed in a beautiful old 18th century building. It’s also over the Bacaro nightclub – a dance club that plays music until the wee hours of the morning. Revelers are also fond of the hotel bar, also called the Hudson, to start off the night. Most of the hotel’s promotions (like the one in the photo) are geared towards the younger set – anxious to save a few dollars on an extra drink at the bar.
