The Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is quite a trip. If you find yourself at the West Edmonton Mall and don’t have a place to stay that night, definitely book a room! The rooms are decked out in one of nine different themes, all of which will make you smile, some of which will make you cringe at tackiness.
Here’s what my room looked like – it was a Polynesia-themed room, and I thought the decorations were imaginative and fun:

I sailed away to sleep in a really comfy bed, and that shelf just below the bed was handy for drinks and food.

Jacuzzi Tub at Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton, Canada
My favorite part of the room, though, was the jacuzzi tub – it was surrounded by lava rocks and a waterfall. And, it lit up with soft red lights at night, which was kind of sexy.Pretty cool, right? The jacuzzi bubbles worked well, and it was a very relaxing soak. Loved it!
All of the rooms here are designed and decorated in good fun, if not always in the best of taste. Depending on the type of room you get, you’ll fall asleep in Hollywood, Ancient Rome, Polynesia, Africa, a Truck, The Old West, Arabia, an Igloo and on a Canadian Railroad. I’m not sure what’s up with the Truck theme, that’s the only one that seemed sort of random.
