On my recent vacation to Phoenix, Arizona, I was most impressed by the gorgeous desert landscape – so different from what I experience here in New England. In Arizona, each cactus is so different from the others, and the mountain landscape is truly beautiful. So, when we stopped for lunch at the Buttes Marriott, in Tempe, Arizona, I was really impressed at how the hotel is built right into the Arizona desert buttes landscape. Even the back wall of the lobby (pictured here) is part of the natural landscape.
The 353 room Marriott Buttes sits on 25-acres of land, and many of the rooms have gorgeous views of the landscape below. Hotel amenities include high-speed internet access (for an additional fee), two mountainside pools, a waterslide, a fitness center, a jacuzzi, and five restaurants/bars. It’s a kid-friendly hotel, with lots of families around.
The Buttes Marriott is located in Tempe, Arizona, just a few miles from Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport. For those families attending Cactus League Spring Training – you’ll love the location of this resort, walking distance from Tempe Diablo Stadium where the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim play.
