The Bedroom in the Baseball Suite

The Hotel Commonwealth, a hotel about a stone’s throw away from historic Fenway Park, has introduced a brand-new baseball suite, inspired by the famous park.  To celebrate the opening of the new suite, former Red Sox player, and fan-favorite Johnny Pesky, was the very first guest.

The new Baseball Suite offers a sleeping area separated from the living room with a set of French doors. Features include a fifty-inch plasma television with a DVD library of over forty classic baseball films, shadowboxes with memorabilia from the 30s and 40s, and original photography and artwork.  Guests of the suite can have tours of Fenway Park and game day tickets arranged by the Hotel Commonwealth concierge.

The nightly rate for the Baseball Suite is $755 (the career home run record set by Hank Aaron), and the masculine-inspired design was created by hotel interior designer and architect E. Kevin Schopfer of Ahearn/Schopfer Associates.

The Hotel Commonwealth is located on Commonwealth Avenue in Kenmore Square, right by Fenway Park.  The hotel offers a variety of amenities, including complimentary high-speed internet access, Serta Perfect Sleeper beds, wireless phones with a range throughout the entire hotel, Fresh bath amenities, 24-hour business center, and 24-hour room service.
