What’s a Guacamologist and why does the Ritz want you to be one? Good question. A Guacamologist is a Chef who specializes in creating guacamole, and The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas wants to offer guests the experience of working as a Guest Guacamologist alongside their own expert Guacamologist.

The Guest Guacamologist program allows you to participate as a guest chef during the hotel’s famous Guacamologist ritual, presented at 6 pm each evening in the hotel Lobby Lounge.

The lights are dimmed, candles are lit and the Guacamologists enter with their special bowl. Both Guacamologists work together using Texas farm-to-market produce to handcraft a custom guacamole blend.

Lobby Lounge guests get a complimentary tasting of Chef Dean Fearing’s specialty margaritas, accompanied by a guacamole and fresh tortilla chips – made by you.

Roberto van Geenen, General Manager, The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas says “We are delighted to offer our new Guest Guacamologist role to guests and visitors of the hotel. There is no more delightful way to usher in the Dallas evening.”

And it’ll be an exciting experience for the wannabe Guacamologist too, to have people sample your creation. You can even call it a learning vacation, where you get to work with a celebrity Chef and learn how to make guacamole. If you fancy yourself as a Guacamologist, just call the hotel and ask to speak to someone from their PR team.

In addition to Chef Dean Fearing’s signature restaurant, aforementioned Lobby Lounge and the 218 rooms and suites, The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas also offers wireless internet, a 12,000 sq ft spa, an outdoor heated swimming pool and Dallas’ largest luxury ballroom.
