The new year has barely begun, but the stores here in Atlanta are already filled with eye-popping amounts of hearts, pinks, and reds in preparation for Valentine’s Day. That’s right, it’s only five weeks away, so if you want to reserve a hotel room for you and your sweetie and you haven’t yet, you’d better get hopping! Consider some of these hotels for some wining and dining on February 14th:
I love the word chateau. This beautiful winery is about one hour north of Atlanta, and it’s a gorgeousescape for a romantic getaway. The inn looks like a French country estate, and there are over 3500 acres to explore. Two beautiful restaurants, an art gallery, a wine market and a luxurious spa add up to a weekend of romance and relaxation. There are nine different packages to choose from, including a golf package for those who want to hit the greens. Call soon because this hotel books up really quickly for this weekend.
If you’re looking to stay somewhere closer to downtown Atlanta, this stunning Victorian bed & breakfast could be perfect! It’s located in Inman Park, one of the city’s finest neighborhoods. Large guest rooms are chock full of antiques, some have large whirlpool tubs, and each morning you’ll enjoy an elaborate breakfast spread downstairs. The most luxurious room, the cottage, is just over $200 a night. Romance, beauty and tranquility – what more could you ask for on a Valentine’s Day weekend?
The Gaslight Inn Bed & Breakfast
This beautiful hotel is located in my own ‘hood, Virginia Highlands. The style is Craftsman, so it’s not as immediately elegant as the King Keith House, and it’s slightly less fussy and ornate on the inside. That being said, it’s an absolutely gorgeous hotel, and a lovely place to stay for the weekend. Five rooms are available, and you’ll enjoy whirlpool and steam baths, a lovely breakfast and quiet gardens. The hotel is very close to many of Atlanta’s best attractions such as the Carter Center and Presidential Library.
This Atlanta landmark was built in 1911, and it’s located in hip Midtown, across from the Fox Theater. This hotel is all about service and luxury. There’s marble and columns everywhere, and there’s a rooftop pool with a view of the city! Classy, classy. You’ll be staying in rooms which have been reserved by the likes of Charles Lindbergh, Rudolph Valentino and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Go ahead and impress her!
