Marina Bay Sands in Singapore is, without a doubt, a luxury hotel.

Operated by the same company as The Venetian in Las Vegas, this Singapore property offers artfully decorated and generously appointed guest rooms.  Guests can  dine, shop, work, play and lounge in extraordinary comfort without stepping foot beyond the glass doors.

But grand hotels with world class chefs and chic decor are not hard to come by.  It takes a little more than a high thread count and high speed internet to impress today’s world traveler.

Infinity Pool on Sands SkyPark at Marin Bay Sands

That ought to do it.

That is the Sands SkyPark’s infinity pool, located 200 meters (that’s over 650 feet) up in the air.  At 150 meters, the rooftop pool at Marina Bay Sands is the world’s largest outdoor pool at that height, although it’s difficult to imagine there are many others competing for the title.

Sand SkyPark is an exclusive rooftop club atop the Marin Bay Sands hotel.  It spans the hotel’s three towers, with it’s length surpassing the Eiffel Tower’s height.  In addition to swimming, visitors to the observation deck can enjoy breathtaking views, fine dining and living entertainment from world class musicians.  Although some amenities, including swimming, are available exclusively to hotel guests, the public can purchase tickets to enjoy the view from an observation deck.

The observation deck is open to the public between 10am and 10pm.  However, a limited number of people allowed into the Sand SkyPark at a time for safety and comfort reasons.  Of course, admission is also dependent on weather conditions; the last place you want to be when lightning strikes is on top of a 200 meter metal building.

Visit the Marina Bay Sands website more information about the Sands SkyPark and reservations.
