Hotel Discount Offers from the Big G
Sure there’s no shortage of hotel deals and discounts and coupons on the web. But there’s something to be said when these ‘offers’ come to you via Google.

Google Maps hotel offers
The Big G is gearing up for the beta launch of Google Offers, which is going to be something like Groupon. The initial launch cities mentioned include New York, Portland and San Francisco.
They’re promising that you’ll “get 50% off or more at places you’ll love.” Right now, all you can do is subscribe and wait for them to send you the offers once the service is launched for your city.
Or… you could go to Google Maps and find an offer for your city. How’s that? Well, the Big G has been offering coupons for a few years now, and earlier this year they started offering hotel discount offers on Google Maps.
For example, the Renoir Hotel in San Francisco is offering a $20 discount on their best available unrestricted rate of the day for walk-in bookings, exclusively for Google Maps users. You’ll have to print out this coupon and present it to the receptionist when you land up at the hotel.
The hotel is currently offering rates starting from $119, so with the coupon that works out to less than $100 for a room in a boutique hotel in downtown San Francisco. The hotel’s landmark building dates back to 1909, and Union Square and the cable car turnaround are just a few steps away.
In Portland, the Comfort Suites Southwest is offering 15% off on regular rates. Use promo code LGOOGL. In New York, you can save 30% at the Hotel Alexander in the Upper West Side with this coupon. This means you can get rates as low as $77 for a New York hotel near Central Park.
