Inn at Lost Creek

Wouldn’t it be great if you could go on vacation without having to deal with the hassle of luggage?  An upscale ski resort and hotel in Telluride, Colorado has come one step closer to making that fantasy a reality with a creative new amenity.

The Inn at Lost Creek, which markets itself as “the little hotel with large amenities”, is offering to handle at least part of the luggage hassle for guests who book the Simply-Ski package.  Although you’ll still need to pack and unpack your own luggage, the Inn at Lost Creek will do the rest of the heavy lifting for you – literally.

The Simply-Ski package for the 2010/2011 ski season includes:

• Four nights ski-in/ski out accommodation
• Up to two free ski rental equipment packages per room/per night
• Daily continental breakfast
• Advance luggage pick-up and delivery between the guest’s home address and hotel for up to two bags
• $75 in groceries pre-ordered and stocked for the guest’s arrival

The hotel will also provide ground transportation from the Telluride Airport or wash your car before you head home.

Nightly rates for the Simply-Ski package start at $357 per room during the early season.  The package is being offered from November 25, 2010 to April 4, 2011.  No word on who will be responsible for tackling the laundry mountain once you’ve returned home.

Marriott and Renaissance Caribbean and Mexico Resorts are offering up to 40% off leisure rates for travel from April 1 – September 30, 2010.  Rates start as low as $167 per night in April at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino and just $214 for select dates in St. Thomas at Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort in May.  Effective for stays April 1 – September 30, 2010, the discount of up to 40% applies to room rate only and must be booked by March 31, 2010.

Last time we covered St. Tropez’ Byblos Hotel. And we have another French hotel and celeb hotspot for this week’s Celebrity Hotel of the Week. Smack dab in the middle of the French West Indies is the Hotel Guanahani and Spa in Saint Barthelemy. Gastronomically speaking, there are lots of good eats around, including Indigo (a wonderful poolside restaurant on the beach) and Bartolomeo (gourmet dining and lounge bar). Scrumptious Mediterranean/Italian dishes at Bartolomeo are faves of Marisa Miller and Gisele Bundchen alike, and you can’t beat a romantic meal at night with the stars overhead.

Rates. Right. Well,depending on the room and the time of year, prices start at 360 Euros (currency converter here) and work their way up from there. A Superior Gardenview Room, for example, is 360 Euros a night during the summer and 915 Euros a night during the Christmas holiday. An Ocean 1-Bedroom Poolside Suite, with private pool overlooking the sea starts at 1,095 Euros in the summer and goes up to 1,655 Euros over Christmas and New Year’s.

But if you’re really going for the celebrity treatment, you can get a suite with butler service! Yeah, baby! The most expensive one – La Villa – starts at 2,800 Euros a day and tops out at 5,700 Euros a day. Think I’ll stay for a month. Or maybe just for 15 minutes, because that’ll only cost me 60 Euros. How much can a butler do in 15 minutes, anyway?

Fine beaches, luxurious rooms, poolside bars, the warm sunny climate…yeah. I can’t wait to get there. Who wants to be my Sugar Mama?
