Dog-Friendly Suites in Las Vegas

The Vegas Strip is going to the dogs. TheHotel at Mandalay Bay says it has dog-friendly suites on its 22nd floor, specially kitted out with eco-friendly food and water bowls for Fido. They’ll even welcome you with tasty treats and doggy relief bags.

For the discerning doggy, there are special options. Fido’s in-room dining menu, for example, includes a Backyard Delight consisting of hamburger, potatoes, zucchini, carrots, apples, parsley and ground turmeric.

For those who feel like stretching their legs, Barking Lot Lane is just steps away near the west entrance of THEhotel. Owners can walk Fido themselves, or call in the Concierge if required. Upto two dogs weighing 100 pounds combined are allowed, and should be on a leash when outside the room.

The 43 story all-suite TheHotel has 1,117 one-bedroom suites with plasma television, high-speed internet and wet bars in-room. They have a billiards lounge, lobby bar, coffee bar and café.

The hotel is part of the Mandalay Bay resort, which has 4,752 rooms and suites and a whole lot more including a 11 acre tropical pool with real sand and poolside gaming.

But for those only interested in pet-friendly hotels, here’s the top 10 Las Vegas hotels where guests are allowed to walk on all fours and bark (just to be clear – this refers to dogs and not drunk casino revelers).

Granted, I was 5 months pregnant at the time with my first baby, so I was happy to be anywhere before the baby arrived. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a STELLAR place to stay. Locate within the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Resort property is the modern-day, luxurious (but not-over-the-top) THEhotel.
