MTV Games has teamed up with Desires Hotels for this offer. Desires has boutique hotels in South Beach, New York, Milwaukee and St. Louis, among other places.

The game takes players on a discovery of the Beatles’ musical journey, with 45 songs on-disc. Players start from the Beatles’ early touring days in 1963 Liverpool and work their way right up to the final performance on the Apple Corps rooftop.

Along the way, Beatles fans will be thrilled with real photos and videos, and previously unreleased 40 year old voice recordings from John, Paul, George and Ringo chatting between studio takes.

Participating Desires Hotels are also offering a Beatles Happy Hour, where guests can join in and enjoy the game while still at the hotel.

Desires is offering guests the option of building their own Beatles Rock Star package. You can choose the desired room rate separately, and top it off with the Beatles music video game, a Limited Edition bundle of the game, or an icy cold bottle of champagne.

The Desires boutiques include the famous Iron Horse Hotel in Milwaukee, better known as the Harley-Davidson Museum hotel. Desires has three hotels each in New York (Mela, The MAve & Cassa) and South Beach (The Betsy, St. Augustine & Wave), and one each in St. Louis (The Moonrise) and St. Petersburg (Zamora).

I’m sure at the time, to Kiefer, it seemed like an eminently reasonable thing to do. He even made arrangements to pay for the damages before he took the tree down with a flying tackle, which was caught on video for him “enjoy” watching for the rest of his life.

The staff at the Strand, who clearly have outstanding customer service training, are reported to have handled it calmly and professionally, prompting Sutherland to say, “This f—ing hotel rocks!

Merry Christmas!
