On Friday, April 9, 2010, the Trump SoHo New York opens its doors to add another glittering tower to the Trump Hotel Collection and more glitz and stylish offerings to downtown Manhattan.
The 46 story silvery glass tower located on the corner of Spring and Varick Streets offers 391 rooms, with 132 one-bedroom suites and 10 two bedroom penthouses – a lot, even by New York standards.
With only 12 rooms per floor and large floor-to-ceiling windows, the deluxe guest rooms and all the suites are designed to offer wide-angle views of the Manhattan skyline, Hudson River, and the Statue of Liberty.
The rooms are further soaked in luxury with marble bathrooms and oversized soaking tubs, Egyptian cotton bedding and towels, and flat-screen televisions.
You’ll also see the usual signature Trump offerings – the Quattro Gastronomia Italiana, the Bazaar Cocktail Lounge on the Lobby level, and the Spa at Trump (opening early summer).
Another addition to the New York party scene is SoHi on the 46th floor, with its own kitchen and never-seen views of Manhattan with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides.
In addition, the hotel offers Kastel – an exclusive cocktail lounge with restricted access, and Bar d’Eau - a full service bar with an outdoor pool deck and private cabanas. More discerning guests might prefer to spend some time in The Library where you can sip on fine wines surrounded by a collection of TASCHEN books.
The Trump SoHo tops it off with some fine touches – minibar all stocked up pre-arrival as per instructions, indoor valet parking, full service business center, free wi-fi, etc.
They’re starting with introductory rates from $389 for the suites, and weekend rates from $299 per night. Once its fully operational later this year, rates are expected to hit $500.
Here is a good resource for New York to Washington DC tours in case you have more than just New York on your itinerary.
