A great hotels with one or two small bumps....
I was fortunate to stay at the Peninsula over the last Christmas holiday and again in March. I have stayed here several times over the years. It is a very good hotel. First, it is lovely, well decorated and very comfortable. The lobby area is like a big living room in a comfortable house. The staff is very professional and nice if not particularly familiar. Many very wealthy and famous people stay here and I suspect they appreciate the quiet discretion. As someone who is not particularly wealthy or anonymous person, it can seem a bit aloof but luxury is easy to get used to – and the people who man the doors and the valets are all very pleasant and welcoming. ... Sweet Suites don't come cheap.. but you get what you pay for
