If you are looking for the perfect getaway, look no more. Parcher’s Resort, 9,290 feet high, in the Inyo National Forest, just may be the perfect escape. A short drive from downtown Bishop California, this mountaintop hotel is not a destination for lovers of city life. This is a real outdoor lover’s adventure. You are not sleeping on the ground though; this Bishop, California hotel has seventeen cabins to choose from. You can choose the bare-basics Rustic Cabin for two which has no kitchen, or the Deluxe Mountain Cabin, which has a full kitchen, separate bedrooms and a television. The deluxe is for those of us who want to rough it, but not too rough. There are a variety of cabins in between these two. The cabins are all very nice cabins, decorated smartly and kept very clean.
This is a great place for all kinds of activities; trout fishing, bird watching, backpacking and horseback riding. It is also a great place for an out of the way family reunion or gathering. There is a restaurant and gift shop on site. The cabins fill up quickly, so call very early to make your reservations at Parcher’s Resort, Bishop California’s hotel on a mountaintop.
