Best hotel in the area

We were looking for an "upgrade" to the usual motel options in the Santa Cruz area. We tried out the Capitola Hotel, in the village of Capitola, and it turned out to be the perfect place for us. This is a great "boutique" hotel for couples and single friends. There are only 7 rooms and they are small; but very well appointed. Directions

From Highway 1 take the Bay Avenue exit. Turn right onto Bay Ave. Right onto Capitola Avenue, Right on San Jose Avenue. Immediate Left onto Esplanade. We are located 1/2 block up Esplanade on the left.
