I have stayed at the El Cordova hotel serveral times and though a little pricey for what you get, I still go back. Normally I stay in the junior suite which works out fine for me. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at El Cordova. The only sour note was the way they handled their policy that they don't make restaurant reservations for guests.
