We recently booked this hotel as a part of a 11 day California vacation. We had a party of 5 adults and 2 small children so we booked the Penthouse suite. Check-in was fine and the rate that we got on the hotels website was acceptable at $149. We walked into our penthouse and proceeded to unload our car. There are not elevators, so this took a while.
