- Exclusivity and indulgence carry the day here; you can even have someone unpack for you. The 172-acre grounds include a private beach club, an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed golf course, and tennis courts across the street. Rooms have views of either the coast or the lush landscaping; su... more on Fodor's

The Four Seasons It Ain't
After reading all the comments here about lousy service, I figured the management at this hotel must recognize bad service if legions of Fodor's readers recognize it. I was wrong. The service was so poor that it became a running joke between me and my guest. The poor service was uncanny: ice coff... JT, a user of fodors.com. Read full review on Fodor's

Not Worth the Money
This hotel was very disappointing for the price. The rooms were nice and the grounds were lovely. But the hotel is NOT on the beach: It's the other side of the Pacific Coast Highway. Rooms are terrific and large. We found the front desk to be stuffy but the rest of the staff was very friendly. The beach... Bob, a user of fodors.com. Read full review on Fodor's

Luxury and Opulence just do your research!
It's amazing to me that some people don't research the hotel they'll be staying at--especially when they're paying for such an expensive hotel such as the St. Regis. This hotel does NOT claim to be oceanfront. If you spend any time on their website, it'll be clear. Also, how can you not call the ... Sarge, a user of fodors.com. Read full review on Fodor's

Its the best hotel I have stayed in yet!
Im going to spend a second weekend here at the St. Regis. My first stay was exceptional. The staff greeted me with so much respect that I forgot that this hotel was really in California. I also appreciated the fact that the staff remembered who I was when they came back to work the following day.... Rudy, a user of fodors.com. Read full review on Fodor's
