Doesn't Compare Well With Other B&Bs Generally, But OK for the Area
Stayed there mid-2003. Unlike most bed and breakfast establishments I've visited, it doesn't have a true "breakfast" with the "bed." Instead, they give you a voucher for $7 to spend at the restaurant. Unfortunately, most of the breakfast entrees cost more than $7, so you end up paying some out of... Don't expect much
My husband and I stayed here over Christmas while visiting relatives nearby. We were very disappointed. We stayed in Mike's Room, a very small room at the back of the building. Spectacular Views, Great room, Wonderful Food
Stay in room 9, Captian Davenport's Retreat, yes it is a bit more in price, but the room is much roomier then the others, comfortable and the views spectacular,, we tried other rooms on earlier visits but would not stay again unless we get to stay in room 9. The view was good, but it's not worth your money!
We stayed in the Captain's room, and although is very roomy, 2 full beds, plus lvg room furniture; the mattresses must be at least 20 yrs old. At 10 p.m., the restaurant closes and they stack up all the chairs on the tables. The noise is horrendous, sounds as if you're in bowling alley, so bad yo...
