the place is in a great location just a few blocks from the beach. unfortuntely, i managed to pay a substantial amount for a deluxe jacuzzi room that turned out to be a standard issue motel with a tiny jet tub from te 1970's that was small, yucky, and water tricked out of. i paid $40 extra per... Would not stay here again
I stayed here for a weekend a few years ago to go to the Del Mar races. I've stayed in Encinitas in a couple of different motels that were okay, one went downhill last time I stayed there so I tried a "new" place. Expectation leads to disappointment
Booked the week after Memorial Day 2006 expecting "newly remodeled" "brand new accommodations" as described online. Instead got a 1980's cigarette-burned comforter, jacuzzi tub in the tiny living area, view of garbage through a bent-up screen and dirty window, etc. Not exactly "charming" - Motel ... By A Yahoo!
