The Ione hotel is the best getaway!!!

I love this place. If you want to have a private & romantic get away. This is the place to be. It was built in the 1800's but it burned down but then rebuilt. Its a very historic town and place. Too bad it's the only hotel in Ione!

Ok, so I get to the hotel for a two nights stay (which I made room reservations a week in advance for) and I give the desk clerk (Jack) my name and the owner is standing beside him and they both say, "We didn't think you were coming in tonight!" Mind you, when I made the reservations, I told the desk clerk (Jack) that we (my husband and I) wouldn't be leaving Sacramento until we got off work, so we probably wouldn't be there until around 8:30 - 9:00. We were there by 8:20. So I mentioned this to Jack and he says, "Oh yea, you told me, we just weren't sure if you were going to make it!" - DUH! So we ask about our room (which should have been room 6) and come to find out that they gave our room to someone else! What's more, they had this other person sign for my credit card!
