Located in Marin County in the Bay Area, California, you can certainly expect to see a lot of outdoor attractions in Mill Valley. It is easiest to travel to get around Mill Valley by car especially if you want to reach the parks and woods; on the other hand, walking can be nice in the downtown area as well. Some of the attractions you should not miss in Mill Valley include the Mill Valley Mill because it is a beautiful spot in a riverbed filled with redwoods. Meanwhile, another attraction you should visit is the Muir Woods National Monument. This is home to around 560 acre of redwood trees and it is one of the few remaining places on earth where you can still enjoy the redwoods in its full glory.
Of course, one of the main activities you can do in the area is to hike. Mill Valley provides a great starting point for long hikes.
