Used Hotwire this time, indicating we wanted a 3 star property for a one night stay in Modesto. What we got for our 3 star money was a 1 or 2 star lodging experience. Rooms need refurbishing. Room size is good, TV size good, location is great. Free local newspaper which I enjoyed. The rooms need updated furniture and mattresses, bathrooms need updating.
