Nice Stay After A Rocky Start
We booked our stay directly with Marriott, via their phoneline. We are Silver Reward Members, therefore, we had some questions that needed to be answered plus, we were also booking another hotel stay in Napa for the same trip. This is where our troubles began, but I do want to mention it has nothing to do specifically with this hotels service directly but DID impact our stay. When we arrived at 1:00 am, after quite a long and delayed flight from the east coast (mind you, it was now 4:00 am our time) we discovered that our reservation was CANCELLED by Marriott! How did this happen? Well, apparently when we added on our Napa reservation at a later date, the reservationist cancelled our Monterey reservation in error, instead of changing the dates to only 3 nights from 5 nights! We had gotten a confirmation email and yes, it was our stupidity that we didn't completely recheck to make sure all was ok with it (I kept asking my husband to forward me this new email, he hadn't), ... sivyaleah, a user of Tripadvisor.
