Not a Romantic Destination
There are some nice features to this hotel: closest Monterey hotel to downtown and Fisherman's wharf, awesome fresh oatmeal chocolate chip cookies each day, it's clean; but the website advertises the place as a romantic getaway destination, a resort sorta. Loved the Portola Plaza
We seem to have a different experience than some others on this site. We stayed in June on a high floor with a sea view and really enjoyed out stay.
