Nice hotel, staff a bit rude

I stayed at this hotel for two stints of two days in September. First time was with my friend, and we asked if a double was possible...the man at the front desk seemed resistant and was making excuses, but lucky us, we got a nice double on the sixth floor...very quiet, and including a fridge!
