Room rate increased by owner once there
We booked advising Occidental staff via phone that there would be 5 of us in the room for 2 nights, and they quoted a price. Upon check in they saw us, and there was no problem with the amount of us checking in. The Best Affordable, yet Nice, Place to Stay near Bodega Bay
Bodega Bay is 5-10 minutes and about 12 miles drive away from Occidental. This is the best place and probably the only place to stay within 25 miles of Bodega Bay that is affordable, from $55-95 a night depending on the off or on season, yet nice, meeting the standards of a Red Roof Inn (like an upgraded Motel 6 or 2.5 star motel) with a Best Western being a 3 star and a Hilton being a 4 star. My husband and I stay at this motel several times a year, it's our base to go spend time at the Ocean, which we love. It is always clean and quiet.
