The Ramona Valley Inn proved to be a great find. We stayed two nights in their "Country Suite" and were pleasently surprised. The staff was friendly and the price was very good. We have stayed in this motel four or five times over the years and this visit didn't disappoint. It's in a small town 38 miles from San Diego and the drive takes 40 mins to 1 hour depending on the traffic.
