The hotel, if you are into that type of era, is the best I ever saw. It had everything I needed, breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. You really didn't have to go anywhere else for the necessities. Good experience with a couple of hiccups

Wonderful character, large clean rooms, but there was no air conditioning, and the water pressure in the bath room was low enough ("construction")that not all of the fixtures operated as they should have. Great, older hotel - huge rooms - but not for everyone

Great location right by Balboa Park - Zoo is just 1 mile away. Plenty of free parking - free hi-speed internet (that slows down a little the more users that get on).
