They advertised it was 10 blocks to Union Square, it is not! There was a long wait at the desk, most of the time. There was no bell and no way to let them know you were there. This had an elegant, old fashioned touch. An abundant contenental breakfast was included. Everyone was friendly. Several parlours where people can gather. The fireplace was a nice touch at night. Directions

Merge onto I-280 N toward San Francisco. Take the 6th St exit. (6th St becomes Taylor after crossing Market St.) Turn left onto Sutter. The Queen Anne Hotel is 9 blocks up, at 1590 Sutter (corner of Sutter and Octavia).
