Comfortable beds, good towels, biting bugs, loose wires in a real dump.
There were two of us and we wanted two beds. So, we reserved one of the larger rooms in the older section. On a first look, we thought the place was going to be OK. We were wrong. Basic but Bearable
Booking the Shoshone Inn started off well. On the advice of a previous reviewer I called directly. The woman I spoke to was extremely friendly and gave me the name of the person I would be checking in with. Classic Motel on the edge of Death Valley
Shoshone is a small town (population 70) on the SE tip of the Death Valley National Park. The rooms at the Shoshone Inn may be basic and a little worn, but most importantly they are clean. Avoid the rundown Inn
A dump! If you want to stay close to Death Valley coming from the East, try Pahrump or Beatty but avoid Shoshone. The Inn is in a bad shape inside and out. Shoshone Inn haben wir fuer 7 Personen gebucht. (ohne Probleme), allerdings gilt hier das Kleingedruckte ganau zu lesen! Das besagt, wenn mehr als 2 Erwachsene pro Zimmer schlafen/wohnen (obwohl jedes Zimmer 2 Queen-Betten besitzt) wird der doppelte Preis abgebucht.
