Beautiful trees
We camped at Lodgepole for 3 nights over the 4th of July. After reading up on the area I was very concerned about bears. All my favorite things in one place
Just got home from 3 days at the Camp and would recommend it to anyone who likes to camp but wants something to look forward to at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hard core hiking and camping adventure that you can brag about to your friends then this is probably not the place for you. That was okay for me and the other people ... delightful experience
A group of us stayed at the lodge for 4 nights. The access road to the parking area is a bit bumpy and dusty but very accessible. The camp is a short walk uphill from the parking lot. You can request help if you don't want to backpack your clothing in to your tent. Needless to say this is not roughing it by any means.
