The hotel is a little outside of old town Truckee on the road to Tahoe. It has been featured in Sunset and the LA Times The rooms are very nicely decorated, think hip European ski lodge with heated floors and European bathroom fixtures. Are there more than five stars?
There are places that you go that pull you back mentally once you get home. Truckee and The Cedar House are one of those places collectively. 35 Miles from Reno<p>Take I-80 West. Before you get to Truckee take the exit to the Hwy 267 by-pass in the direction of Lake Tahoe South. At the ramp traffic light turn left and proceed under I-80 and then over the bridge. At the next traffic light, turn right on Brockway - Cedar House Sport Hotel is about 1/2 mile on the left handside. <p><p>100 Miles from Sacramento<p>200 Miles from San Francisco<p>Take I-80 East past Truckee and then take the exit to the Hwy 267 by-pass (exit 188B) in the direction of Lake Tahoe South. At the ramp traffic light turn right and proceed over the bridge. At the next traffic light, turn right on Brockway - The Cedar House Sport Hotel is about 1/2 mile on the left handside.
