Terrible
I try to avoid corporate and chain hotels and like the quirkiness of independent, old hotels. I'm usually not disappointed. We arrived late in the evening. As soon as we walked in the front lobby the front person explained to us the details about the room. Directions
From Sacramento Take I-80 East to the Central Truckee exit. Turn right off the ramp and follow Donner Pass Road to downtown Truckee. If you are taking the train, the hotel is a short walk 1/2 block down Donner Pass Road heading East. From Reno Take I-80 West to the Central Truckee Exit. Turn left off the ramp, and follow Donner Pass Road East towards downtown Truckee. The Truckee Hotel is at the end of the block on the corner of Donner Pass Road and Bridge Street.
