A Fun Week-end in Madison, CT

We drove up to Madison from Norwalk to attend the annual antique show on the green. To avoid the Sat morning traffic on I-95, we drove up Friday afternoon to the Madison Beach Hotel. Good and Bad

Like so many other people have said this isn't a resort. It is an old hotel on the beach.Cons- The rooms are on the musty side --the shower curtain had a little mold, but if you consider the price for a room on the beach in the summer, it is worth it. Better and Better

We've been staying at the Madison Beach Hotel for the last 20 years. We had not been able to visit since 2003 and what a pleasant , low-key transition has begun! The rooms are still quaint hotel rooms (nope - this isn't an inn or a B&B), but the upgrade in beach and porch furniture was wonderful.... margaret-emily, a user of Tripadvisor.
