1.0: Go next door, do NOT stay here!!

My stay at the Alachua Inn was for business. I had been asked to do a site assessment for both the Alachua Inn (formerly the Comfort Inn) and the Quality Inn next door. My recommendation was to the latter, but the first was chosen for our accomodations. Out of our group, I'd say that the majority, if not everyone, was disgusted or completely unimpressed with the hotel. Two people even forfeited the free stay and went elsewhere. One of my co-workers had bugs in her bed when she pulled back the sheets that night. Another room had freezing A/C that wouldn't turn down, while mine never cooled off - despite the fact that it was on HIGH Cold for 5 days!, and yet another room's ... nolegrl0206, a user of Tripadvisor. 1.0: So bad we didn't stay and went next door!

Well this experience started off great, until we got to check in. We arrived to check in at 5 PM to find out that they had given our 2 rooms to our uncle's family who shared the same last name. We tried to accept the 1 room they were offering instead of the 2 we reserved for our group of 5, but when we walked in the room it was under construction/repair.
