Old Fashioned Florida
I've been going to the Gasparilla Inn for quite some time now. It's a great family place with beautiful scenery. But, it's a tad waspy. We went in May 3 couples and was not happy with our stay. We found out the Inn closes in June to November and we felt that the staff and food was horrible. I think it was a skeleton crew. Beautiful scenery & island but if you're looking for hospitality in any way, shape or form, go elsewhere. The Inn is pretty but be prepared to pay Hamptons prices -- for a LOT less than you'd get in the Hamptons. (And the Hamptons folks are wads friendlier to their clientele). Unfortunately, this... Needs a major update
This hotel has so much potential but is in need of an update. We stayed in one of the 3 bedroom cottages with our kids and the rooms were sorely in need of an update.
