- We booked this hotel because it was called Howard Johnson Miami Airport, but when we landed and called for the shuttle at 7:45 pm, we were told that the shuttles only run every 1.5 hours and wouldn't be there until 9 pm...we took a taxi 6 miles (for a fee of $40!!!), and then arrived ... more on Hotels.com
