A place perfect for our needs
I booked the Silver Sands on a hunch and a chat with the manager Stacy. I needed to find a place for a long weekend to which I could take my 85 year old mother who becomes disoriented easily and has limited mobility. Silver Sands was clean, neat, quiet, and welcoming. This is our 2nd visit to this location. On both visits we encountered a problem with the maid service. We couldn't get service on our next to last day of our stay. This is not a business hotel. There are no onsite staff at night to resolve problems. The staff are attentive and responsive, however. The only problem that I encountered was with the in-room wireless Internet - it doesn't work because the room is too far away from the office ... a traveler, a user of hotels.com.
