Terrific atmosphere!!

We stayed at Grand Shores in late April/07 for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. The first week we stayed in a one bedroom balcony which overlooked the parking lot (doesn't sound great, but it wasn't bad when you are in paradise and the weather is spectacular) but we had a terrific view of the pool, beach and beautiful sunsets. Terrible staff

My family and a party of 12 others stayed at this resort for two weeks. We stayed in a large two room and viewed basically every other type of room availible due to the fact our family rented out seven rooms. The rooms are old, however very clean, and the beach is beautiful. However, due to our terrible treatment by the staff we often considered switching. Staff There are many comments about the staff, and we remained hopeful, however they havent done anything about the problems as we had SERIOUS problems, specificially with the night staff. The cleaning women were friendly enough, saying hi all the time, however fairly inefficient. The beach staff was INCREDIBLY nice, always stopping to chat and offer boat rides. There was never anyone at the front desk, no one in our party of 16 saw anyone at the desk after check in, more luck was obtained by phoning down or asking the cleaning staff for help. Great resort!

My family stayed at the Grand Shores resort April 14-21, 2007. We were prepared for the worst reading some of the trip advisor reviews but instead were pleasantly surprised.
