Can't wait to return to the West Wind
We were "scared" to go to Sanibel Island in June, but despite the heat, we had a great time all around. The West Wind Inn was absolutely fantastic - quiet, secluded, great price and so clean and comfy! The grounds were spotless, the pool was so clean and the beach was so close. We had a room Gulf... Great location for shelling!

Fine motel that met our expectation with a great view of the ocean and sunset (Rm 115). From what we can tell, almost all roooms have an ocean view. My sister and I stayed in Rm 138 and she got bed mites (diagnosed by dr). Hotel is being very rude about this. They aren't beach bug bites as we only spent 45 min shelling on the beach our entire trip and never laid around in the sand. I didn't get these bites and would've since we were togeth... By A Yahoo! FROM THE SANIBEL TOLL BOOTH- CROSS THE CAUSEWAY AND FOLLOW CAUSEWAY DRIVE TO PERIWINKLE WAY 4-WAY STOP AND TURN RIGHT. FOLLOW PERIWINKLE TO THE TARPON BAY ROAD INTERSECTION AND TURN LEFT. CONTINUE ON TARPON BAY ROAD TO WEST GULF DRIVE AND TURN RIGHT. GO 1.5 MILES AND PULL INTO THE INN ON THE LEFT.
