It is unfortunate that tobacco smoked over the years has permeated the guest room carpet, but we were forewarned, and since all else-the access to the railway stations, shops, restaurants-were to hand, we would stay there again in the hope that the very able and courteous family hosts will refurbish the carpets when the smoking ban becomes law next February. more on Venere.com
